A 30-year-old woman was nabbed two years after attempting to use counterfeit cash at an area 7-Eleven.

Kaylynn Dyer, of Brooklyn, was arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 24, by Southampton Police for the incident which took place in 2017, said Southampton Lt. Susan Ralph.

The charges stemmed from a 2017 incident where allegedly Dyer attempted to use counterfeit bills to purchase several gift cards at 7-Eleven in Westhampton, Ralph said.

 Dyer was identified through a Crime Stoppers Tip and arrested by Suffolk County Police Department First Precinct on separate charges.

She was later turned over to Southampton Town Police and charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument.
